Gift for transplant patients

KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA Public Services and Complaints Department raised more than RM31,950 for two patients who recently received cochlea implants.
In a simple ceremony, Datin Seri Ena Ling, wife of Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik, handed over a cheque for the amount to Nurfatin Anis Ismail and Nurul Shafiqah Jaafar, both four.
The event was witnessed by MCA chief administrative director Datuk Wong See Wah.
Department head Michael Chong thanked donors for making the transplants, which cost RM80,000 each, possible.
