SWTC offers course on sign language

FENNIMORE -- Southwest Technical College will offer a sign language course over the Southwest Rural Telecommunications Network beginning March 20.
This two-way audio/video network began in 1997 and has grown steadily to now include Argyle, Barneveld, Belmont, Black Hawk, Boscobel, Cassville, Cuba City, Darlington, Dodgeville, Iowa-Grant, Mineral Point, North Crawford, Platteville, Prairie du Chien, Richland Center, River Ridge, Riverdale, Shullsburg, Southwest-ern, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, Cooperative Educational Services Agency 3 and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
The 10-week sign language course will be offered at Southwest Tech and three other high schools chosen by student enrollment. Thirteen students must be pre-registered for the course to be held.
