MORE ABOUT JONA FRANK:
For nearly a decade photographer and filmmaker Jona Frank has examined the
American adolescent experience, conducting interviews and surveys with
groups of teens around the country to find out what music, clothes, TV shows
and labels high schoolers are using to define each other. From large groups of
cheerleaders and athletic teams to smaller groups of metalheads and stoners,
Frank uses a combination of large-format photo portraits and moving images of
individual students to illustrate the different groups that define today's
public schools. This D.E.A.F. Media Salon will provide insight into her
creative process and your opportunity to meet a YBCA featured artist.
WE HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO JOIN US FOR THIS VERY INTERESTING AFTERNOON.
