Austine moves to 3-4 with win
Brattleboro Reformer, VT - 19 Dec 2002
BRATTLEBORO -- Playing in its second game in as many days, Austine School for the Deaf coach Peter Rausch wasn't sure how his team would respond.
Rausch's worries were quickly put to rest when his Arrows opened with a 19-2 first-quarter, on their way to a 60-12 win over Pine Ridge.
"I was totally suprised at the result because we just played yesterday," Rausch said.
The 3-4 Arrows led 35-4 after the first half, then cruised home from there.
Jennifer Harbart, Jennilyn Rosa and Brittany Schneider all had career-high performances. Harbart had 28 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals. Rosa scored 10, grabbed four rebounds and swiped nine. Schneider had eight points, six rebounds and six steals.
"We played like we were wanted by the law, we stole so much," Rausch said.
The Arrows have the rest of the holiday season off, and will resume play on Jan. 9.
