An 18-year-old former student at the state School for the Deaf student has told jurors of sexual advances made to him by a man who was an interpreter at the school.

The young man, who was 16 when the events took place two years ago, testified Wednesday at the trial of Byron Caldwell. He is charged with attempted violation of a minor.

The young man and another student, a girl, also said Caldwell showed them a sexually explicit book with photographs and talked at length about homosexuality during an overnight school trip.

The trial continues in Pulaski County Circuit Court at Little Rock.
