Hearing aids appeal

MID-ULSTER MLA, Rev William McCrea, is concerned that people with hearing difficulties in Northern Ireland are being denied the same opportunities and standards of care as those in England and Wales.

The Magherafelt Council chairman expressed disappointment that a date for the issue of digital hearing aids had not yet been set for the province.

"I believe that the introduction of digital aids here will result in a marked improvement in the quality of life for so many people," he said.
