Hearing-impaired Ft. Bend teen shot at home

A Fort Bend County teen was shot in the back as he walked upstairs in his family home on Ember Hollow Lane late Wednesday, and police have no suspects or motive in the case.

The hearing impaired 17-year-old, whose name has not yet been released, was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he is in critical condition this morning.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Police said the shot was fired from outside the teen's home. It is unknown whether the shot was intentional.
