NAJA offers graduate scholarships

According to Shonda Litty, Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home scholarship chairman, the National Association of Auxiliaries Inc. is accepting applications for its graduate scholarship program.

Applicants must be pursing graduate studies for one year in fields which address special needs of children and youth including but not limited to counseling, psychology, mental health, mental retardation, speech pathology, exceptional children, deaf education, hearing impaired or gifted and talented.

Scholarships are not awarded for graduate work in administration or general education.

The program, which began in 1962, has awarded $674,000,000 in grants.

Application forms are available from the NAJA Web site at http://www.najanet.org. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 1.
