VITAC using student's design for card
From: Woodland Hills Progress Star, PA - 18 Dec 2002
Danah Richter, a student at Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Edgewood, won VITAC's 12th annual holiday card competition. Her design was picked because it best portrayed this year's theme, "The Joy of Giving."
The design was printed on cards that are being sent to the company's clients around the world.
The VITAC team, including Patricia Prozzi, president, traveled to the school last week to present awards to Danah and six other students who received honorable mentions.
They received certificates of recognition and monetary gifts. All who designed a card received a certificate of participation.
Prozzi also presented Dotty Scharschu, art teacher, with a contribution for the art program.
Following the presentations, fifth- and sixth-grade students from WPSD and Word of God School performed the holiday play, "The Best Christmas Ever."
VITAC is a national leader in providing vital access and captioning services for television programs, commercials, videos, sports events and satellite and on-site conferences.
VITAC's home office is in Canonsburg.
