CID sells building on S. Taylor
From: St. Louis Business Journal, MO - 24 Jan 2003
Central Institute for the Deaf (CID) has sold its former clinic and research building at 909 S. Taylor to the St. Louis College of Health Careers.
Neither financial terms nor the buyer were disclosed. However, the St. Louis Business Journal reported in its Nov. 4, 2002, edition that the College of Health Careers had signed a $1.8 million contract to buy the building (http://stlouis.bizjournals.com/stlouis/stories/2002/11/04/story3.html).
In December, CID moved its main CID Hearing Central clinic to the new campus at 4560 Clayton Ave.
"The sale of the 909 S. Taylor building is an integral part of CID's plan to consolidate services and operations at our new state-of-the-art campus," said Bob Clark, executive director. "In addition, the sale allows CID to save operating expenses and serve clinic clients in more modern facilities."
John Pound of Commercial Realty Associates represented CID in the transaction, and Meade Summers of Hilliker Corp. represented the buyer.
CID provides oral education, research and professional education.
