Kishor Halve, a teacher at the Karna Bagheer Vidyalaya in Bhende Layout, Nagpur, succumbed to a heart attack yesterday night. The heart attack was apparently brought on after 30 students of the school made a statement to Sonegaon police saying that they had planned to poison the other teachers as well.
Four students, Ramesh Guthal (19), Tikam Shahu (15), Asha Madhankar (19) and Madhuri Kuthe (20) were arrested by the police after they allegedly stifled and strangulated Nalini Gaikwad, a teacher. Eight other students involved in the case have been sent to the remand home.
Another teacher, Saroj Chaudhary had to be rushed to the hospital. She complained of high blood pressure when she heard of Halve’s death.
