Man Sentenced To 150 Years In Rape, Kidnapping Case

Tulsa (AP) - A man was sentenced to 150 years in prison today for raping and kidnapping a 56-year-old woman a year ago in Tulsa.

District Judge P. Thomas Thornbrugh told David Chey Arkinson he was a "cowardly, cruel, little malcontent."

Arkinson got the message in sign language because he has a hearing problem.

Arkinson is awaiting trial for the murder of another woman, 75-year-old Gwen Gershon.

She was found dead on her living room floor in south Tulsa with her hands bound behind her and a garment over her head. She had been choked and beaten and her car was stolen.
