Iowa Deaf girls win with defense

The Iowa School for the Deaf edged the Thomas Jefferson junior varsity 25-20 in a prep girls basketball game Saturday at the Lied Center.

"Our defense and hustle won the game for us," reported Iowa Deaf coach Mike Shannon. "We used only six players and they all played hard."
