Missing NZ woman found
From: Stuff.co.nz, New Zealand - 21 Feb 2003
SYDNEY: A deaf New Zealand woman, reported missing from a Darwin caravan park earlier this month, has been found in Melbourne, police said today.
Police had held fears for the safety of Caroline Grime after she left her five-month-old baby in the care of her partner.
She had been in the Overlander Caravan Park in Berrimah, in Darwin's northeast, on February 3 and police reported she received a lift from a truck driver to Alice Springs some 1200km away.
Last week, police said they believed she had hitched a further lift to Victoria and today said she had been found in Melbourne.
"She has contacted her parents in New Zealand to notify them of her whereabouts," Darwin police spokesperson Rory Presnell said.
Ms Grime's partner, Paul Delaney, and their five-month-old daughter Chloe are now in Newcastle in New South Wales, where his parents are assisting in the care of the baby.
