DAREDEVIL DEBUTS THIS WEEK
DAREDEVIL, starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, debuts this week in select theaters equipped with the MoPix technologies. This film, based on a Marvel comic book superhero who was blinded by a childhood accident, promises to be one of the biggest box office successes of the year. (Yours truly saw an advanced screening with DVST/RWC here in Boston yesterday with a group of teenagers from the Perkins School for the Blind, a fun time was had by all!)
JUNGLE BOOK 2, TOO
THE JUNGLE BOOK 2 also debuts this week with closed captions in select theaters equipped with Rear Window Captioning.

CHICAGO, nominated for 13 Academy awards, continues to play with closed captions this week in select theaters equipped with Rear Window Captioning.
NEW MOPIX EQUIPPED THEATERS DEBUT IN CHICAGO AND PHOENIX
AMC River East in downtown Chicago debuts Rear Window Captioning and DVS Theatrical systems this week in their auditorium #13. And AMC Mesa Grand near Phoenix goes online with the systems as well (the first MoPix systems in Arizona!) DAREDEVIL is the first film to play at both facilities... showtimes are below under Arizona and Illinois. Enjoy!

We've assembled the phone numbers and addresses of the headquarters of major theater chains-- let them know you're eager to see accessible films, eat their popcorn and be a regular customer. What can I do to get (insert name of much anticipated film here) released with captions and descriptions? Find out which studio is distributing the film/s you want to attend (info is available online at sites such as movies.com or just e-mail us and we'll figure it out). Write to the studio and let them know you're out there, and you're anxious to see their film/s. And if a studio has already released a film that you're disappointed is not accessible to you, let them know that as well. And while you're writing, send a word of thanks to the studios that do release accessible films (list of films and studios is always included in the update each week -- for example, CHICAGO = Miramax).
