Toddler reunited with parents

The parents of a little girl found walking along Maroochydore's Aerodrome Road early this morning have been found.

Police appeals for the parents to contact them this morning fell on deaf ears because the parents had left their daughter with friends, while they took a break.

The friends thought the little girl was "sleeping in" and chose not to disturb her until 8:00am AEST and that's when they discovered her missing. They had no idea she was inclined to "wander" from her bed.

A frantic call to the Maroochydore police station by the babysitters has resulted in the teary eyed two-year-old being reunited with her family.
