Easter Seals offers sign language classes

CHAMBERSBURG -- Deaf Services will sponsor beginner sign language classes that will start next week. Classes meet once a week for 10 weeks at three different times: From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday or Thursday, or from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Cost for the class is $35, plus $12 for the textbook. Dee Graham will teach the course.

Intermediate sign language classes will also start next week. The class, to be taught by Kathy Sandifer, will meet once a week for 10 weeks at two different times: From 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, and from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays.

A person must have successfully completed a beginner sign language class to participate. The course costs $35, plus $13 for the textbook.

Classes will be at Easter Seals, 55 Hamilton Road. To learn more or register, call 264-7578. Registration must be completed before the class begins.
