If you've ever found yourself on the verge of hollering at a deaf relative or someone else who is hard of hearing, just think how tough it is for them. Experts say the loss of communication disorders can lead to depression, loss of self-esteem and confidence.
Ear, nose, and throat doctors urge Americans to seek diagnosis and treatment help for hearing loss and other communication disorders during May -- Better Hearing and Speech Month.
Some medical conditions that can affect hearing health may include otitis media, or ear infection, tinnitus and earwax.
