Attorney General`s Office gets refunds for hearing aid customers

A defunct hearing aid dispenser has agreed to resolve allegations of deceptive business practices. Allstate Hearing Systems Incorporated, which had offices in Rochester and Buffalo, has agreed to make refunds to some 30 clients, under an agreement reached with the state Attorney General`s office.

(Rochester-AP) -- According to Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, his office received complaints from clients who said they had paid for hearing aids. But never received the products. Besides providing refunds to former clients, Allstate Hearing Systems, has reimbursed the state two thousand dollars to cover the costs of the investigation.
