FIRST, FROM A FAN...
Thank you for the opportunity to explain how RWC has made my
movie-going experience so much better. The first time I used
RWC was about 3 years ago. I'd gone to many movies before, but
often missed a lot of the dialogue and had to ask friends and
family members afterwards about certain events that had occurred
in the movie. For the first time in my life, people were asking
ME what had been said! It was an amazing experience.

Rather than waiting six months or a year to see movies at home
on my DVD or VCR, with closed-captioning, I can see them when
they come out in the theaters, just like everyone else. I still
get puzzled looks when I walk in with my RWC device, but I can
tell that more and more people are aware of what it is. I'm
looking forward to the day when it's in just about every
theater, and other patrons are familiar with the technology. It
has certainly transformed my movie-going experience, making
every RWC movie accessible to me--- to the full extent that it
is to my "hearing" wife, family, and friends.

I am thrilled that so many movies are available with RWC, and
greatly appreciate the theaters and sponsors who have provided
this for me and others with disabilities. Thank you!

FINDING NEMO
The accolades are piling up for this new film from the team that brought us Toy Story and Monsters, Inc.-- Buena Vista Pictures and Pixar Animation. Finding Nemo opens this week in select theaters equipped with MoPix systems. Grab a child you know, or just take your inner child and have a great time!

HOW CAN I HELP SPUR PROGRESS?
This is a question we hear numerous times every week... we'll perhaps not these exact words but you know what we mean. If you would like to receive printed information to help with calls and letters to theater chains and studios, let us know. We also have a limited number of copies of a VHS tape available which demonstrates the systems, and has comments from consumers and industry folks regarding MoPix technologies (tape is open captioned and described). And if you have a accessible theater near you, let the folks there know you enjoy attending films at their theater.

HOW ABOUT US IN THE UK?
We get this question, too. Folks in the UK subscribe to the Movie Access Update, and are already enjoying a number of special showings of open captioned (subtitled) and/or described films. But what about captions and descriptions for "regular" showings, on days and times that are most convenient? We've added a new list of theater chain headquarters-- those with properties in the UK such as Odeon and Warner Village.
