Three Adults Involved In Mishap
WASHINGTON -- D.C. police say no children were on a school bus that flipped over Wednesday afternoon.
However, three adults were involved in the accident at 4th and H streets, northeast.
Investigators said the bus, which was smaller than a typical bus, collided with a white minivan from Canada.
The 53-year-old driver of the bus was not seriously hurt in the crash. Another adult on the bus, a 45-year-old woman, had possible head injuries because of the crash. Crews had to cut the metal of the bus to get her out.
The 20-year-old man who was driving the minivan was hospitalized with minor injuries. He is deaf, so the investigation was delayed while a deaf interpreter was brought in to communicate with the man.
