MISS DEAF TEXAS COMPETITION SATURDAY AT WOMAN'S BUILDING

Young deaf and hard-of-hearing women from across the state will compete in the Miss Deaf Texas Pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Tyler Woman's Building, 911 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler.

Participants will represent their hometowns and demonstrate their talents and accomplishments. The winner will represent Texas at the 2004 Miss Deaf America Pageant.

"The pageant will be accessible to all due to the presence of voice and sign interpreters and CART services," said pageant liaison Kathy Walters.

Admission for adults is $10 and $5 for children. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Pageant donations can be sent to State Co-Director Laura Loeb Hill, 4917 Spur Ridge Court, Keller, Texas 76248.
