North Shore Music Theatre recently received a $30,000 grant award

North Shore Music Theatre recently received a $30,000 grant award from the National Endowment for the Arts to develop a prototype program that unites deaf, hard of hearing (HoH) and hearing students in a creative and artistic environment. NSMT was one of only 11 musical theater organizations nationwide to receive this grant.
The Sign Stage program at NSMT will include both workshops and the development of an original performance piece. Deaf, HoH and hearing students will work together to create a new musical production that they will perform on the main stage at NSMT and in a weeklong tour to camps, schools and community groups.
