CID gets $7500 grant from Norman J . Stupp Foundation

Central Institute for the Deaf has received a $7,500 grant from the Norman J. Stupp Foundation-Commerce Bank, Trustee for its summer program for deaf children.

The program provides sessions on speech, language, auditory training, reading and extracurricular activities. About 32 students attend the program.

The funds are used to provide financial assistance to families with lower incomes.

The St. Louis-based Norman J. Stupp Foundation-Commerce Bank Trustee funds education, medical research, human services, programs of civic importance, and engineering and technology.
