Deaf skills networked

A GLASGOW deaf charity has become the 400th learning centre for skills network Learndirect Scotland.
Deaf Connections supports people to learn new skills, enhancing their job opportunities.
The centre provides services to around 700 deaf people. It runs lip reading, sign language, IT, literacy and numeracy courses.
Christine Lenihan, chairwoman for Learn- direct Scotland said: "I am glad Deaf Connections has become part of the new national learning centre network."
