GOODING -- The superintendent of the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind says his job is on the block.
Angel Ramos says he has been advised that the State Board of Education will be asked to fire him at its meeting on August 14th.
Ramos says the board's staff director, Gary Stivers, claims he's refused to cooperate with a state plan to improve management at the school.
Neither the board nor its staff is commenting. Ramos says there are parts of the plan he doesn't like. But he says he has been working to implement it.
He suggests he's being targeted for speaking out.
The board conducted an investigation this winter and spring into allegations of mismanagement by Ramos. It cleared him of any wrongdoing in May and rehired him for another year assuming he would implement its management plan.
