IOWA Deaf smothers ICA with 92 points

EXIRA - Iowa School for the Deaf turned Thursday's neutral site into Bobcat territory, as they rolled up a huge 92-50 prep football victory over Iowa Christian Academy.
The Bobcats were led by Eric Humlicek, who carried the ball 16 times for 301 yards - an average of more than 18 yards per carry, and scored four touchdowns. He also returned an interception for a score.
Humlicek and the other Bobcat starters did most of their damage in the first half, as they led 44-16 by the break, when the ISD reserves took the field.
Edlin Dorn had 11 tackles and a quarterback sack, while Jordan Borgalia had nine tackles and two sacks and Josh Scherling added 10 tackles in the victory.
The Bobcats return to action Oct. 4 in a road contest at Minnesota School for the Deaf.
"That will be a tough game," ISD coach Mark Murray said. "We have a tough week ahead of us."
