DeafNation Expo today at fairgrounds

A products and services expo for the deaf will take place today at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

The free DeafNation Expo is described as a celebration of culture, an exhibition of technology, and a social event that promises something for everyone.

Two of the many performers appearing will be Super Deafy, a superhero, and Matthew "Magic" Morgan and his "Deaf World of Magic."

The California School for the Deaf will provide a storytelling corner for the children and a Deaf Film and Video Festival Tour will offer movies produced by the deaf.

Guest presenters include Christy Smith of "Survivor" and Stephen Hlibok, vice president of private client group with Merrill Lynch.

Admission to the DeafNation Expo is free, but advance registration is required. Registration can be done online at www.deafnation.com .
