October 24-30

NOTE: This update contains only U.S. location and showtime information. Information for Famous Players theaters in Canada will be forwarded shortly under the subject line MoPix Update, Canada Only. Thanks for your understanding.

FLORIDA 6, COLORADO 2
Not a sports score, as your MoPix team in Boston swore off all sporting events when the Red Sox... well, we won't go into what the Sox did or didn't do. The good news is that AMC will soon be adding to the number of MoPix systems installed in their theaters around the U.S., and the numbers above refer to the total number of first-run theaters in those states that will soon be equipped. Residents and visitors to the Miami-Ft Lauderdale area, Tampa, Orlando and Denver, CO will be able to enjoy closed captioned and described films just in time for the major fall and holiday releases. Here are the theaters that will be up and running with Rear Window Captioning and DVS Theatrical within the next several weeks:

*AMC Sunset Place 24, South Miami
*AMC Aventura Mall 24, Aventura (midway between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale)
*AMC Pleasure Island, Lake Buena Vista (Orlando area)
*AMC Veterans Expressway 24, Tampa
*AMC Highlands Ranch 24, Highlands Ranch, CO
*AMC Westminster Promenade 24, Westminster, CO

THREE MORE TO REPORT
Clearview Cinemas in Parsippany and Montclair, NJ, and Crown's The Glen in Glenview, IL (north of Chicago) should be up and running with their MoPix systems soon. We'll keep you apprised as the installations move along.

ROADMAP TO MOVIE ACCESS
Read an interview with Omaha's star advocate Bob Burns who raised half the money for a MoPix installation (AMC Theatres matched the funds), available in text online at the MoPix site: http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/roadmap.html
