MSSD to Perform “Kid With Thousand Hands”

Washington, DC—The Model Secondary School for the Deaf, Theatre Malz Performing Arts, will present “Kid With Thousand Hands,” an American Sign Language vaudeville-type of show. Performance dates are Friday, Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.

Theatre Malz Performing Arts created a combination of original short plays, poetry, story telling, song-interpreting, stand-up comedy, and skits. The show is to honor Lon Chaney, a well-known actor who portrayed a variety of characters throughout his career. An interesting fact is his parents were deaf.

“Kid With Thousand Hands” will be performed at the Kendall Demonstration Elementary School’s auditorium. Admission is $5.00 and seating capacity is limited to 100. For ticket reservation, contact Yola Rozynek at the email address above or call, 202-651-5109 FAX or 202-651-5024 TTY.
