SuperDeafy taking center stage

The DeafNation Expo is headed to the Alameda County Fairgrounds this weekend. The free event includes an appearance by SuperDeafy, the 21st-Century's deaf superhero. Matthew "Magic" Morgan will combine the arts of illusion, close-up magic and comedy during "The Deaf World of Magic" show.

The California School for the Deaf will provide a storytelling corner for children. Another DeafNation highlight is the Deaf Film and Video Festival Tour, which includes deaf movies.

DeafNation is a touring trade show for, by and about deaf people. The expo heads to the fairgrounds in Plesanton from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday
