New theater needs closed-caption option

SIOUX CITY -- Now that there is published proof (Wednesday Journal, page A14) that "Yes Santa, there are deaf children in Siouxland." How about taking the next jump in seeing that at least one of the screens at the new downtown multiplex theater has a closed-caption option so the hundreds of hearing impaired children and adults can go enjoy a movie with their family on the big screen instead of having to wait to watch it at home on video.

It's time that Sioux City steps into the future and join other cities like Des Moines and Chicago in bringing this service to the people. n- Diane Geary
