Sharp-shooting Brown paces Spartans

Kirstin Brown was lethal from 3-point range Wednesday as the York College women’s basketball team pounded visiting Gallaudet, 118-66.
Brown, a West York graduate, set a school record for 3-pointers in a game with eight, and the Spartans set a team record by nailing 17 in the game.
Brown, who scored 20 of her 26 points in the second half, went 8-for-11 from beyond the arc, while teammates Jessica Kemp (6-for-9) and Heather Kessler (3-for-5) provided the other long-range artillery.
Kemp, a York Suburban grad, also scored 26 points, while Kessler finished with 20.
Mandy Crabbs scored 22 of her 24 points in the first half and also grabbed 14 rebounds for York College (4-1, 1-0 CAC), which led 65-33 at the break.
Nicole Lanning paced Gallaudet (0-5, 0-1) with 16 points.
