American Sign Language class to be offered in Aberdeen

Introduction to American Sign Language (ASL 1) will begin Tuesday and meet every Tuesday for 12 weeks from 6-8 p.m.
Dawn Syhre will be the instructor. The class is at the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 423 17th Ave. S.E.
"Sign up for the opportunity to learn a new language as well as learning about the richness of deaf culture," according to a release.
The fee for the class is $65. Students will purchase the book in class for $15.
To register, contact the Communication Service for the Deaf in Aberdeen at (605) 626-2668 by Friday . Class size is limited to a minimum of five and a maximum of 12 students. If the minimum is not met with payment by the deadline, the class will be canceled.
