BRATTLEBORO -- The Austine boys basketball team is putting forth a history-making performance this season.
With their 47-20 victory over the Rhode Island School for the Deaf on Thursday, the 7-3 Arrows have their best record since 1996, and Austine shows no signs of slowing down.
Wayne Troumbley and Steven "Light 'em Up" Limoges paced the Arrows on the evening. Troumbley was a major force on both ends of the court, ripping down a career-high 25 rebounds to go along with 14 points, 5 blocks and 6 assists. Limoges also had a splendid game, scoring a team-high 21 points and grabbing 7 rebounds to give Austine a lethal one-two punch.
"I'm very happy with the kids' performance," Arrows coach Nick Lalanne said. "We played aggressively on defense, and I can see how much they have improved in my three years of coaching."
