GOLF: BAIN BLOWS BIG CHANCE WITH SICKENING 77

ROSS BAIN blew his chance of an Asian PGATour card in a disastrous closing round of qualifying.
The 28-year-old Scot, who was lying in card-winning position at the beginning of the day, stumbled to a damaging 77.
That gave him a five-over-par aggregate of 293 and saw hims lump from 29thto 61stint he standings at Johor, Malaysia.
Bain, the professional at Dubai's Emirates Club, finished two shots outside the top 40 who qualified for the Asian PGATour.
English duo Zane Scotland and Jonathan Cheetham finished on 289 and were the only British qualifiers.
Korean youngster Lee Sung-Man, who has been deaf since birth, gave himself a belated birthday present as he topped the leader board with a 12-under total of 276.
Sung-Man, who was 23 last Friday, birdied the final hole to record a four-under 68 and win by a stroke from Japan's Satoshi Shimouchi.
