MOPIX QUOTE O' THE WEEK
"I am totally blind. I have been this way since birth. I have a boyfriend who is also blind. On September 8th 2003 we saw seabiscuit using the dvs theratical system. It was great. We took a friend with us because this was the first time we were going to the Amc Altamonte mall 18. She used the rear window captioning system while we used the headsets.It was great for all of us to therally enjoy the movie along with every one else. We also saw Matrix revolution at the same theatre. The description was excellent. In adition we saw Monalisa smiles and are going to see Peter Pan4. All of the movies were in dvs. Keep up the good work." Thanks, and we will!

Read an interview with Omaha's star advocate Bob Burns who raised half the money for a MoPix installation (AMC Theatres matched the funds), available in text online at the MoPix site: http://ncam.wgbh.org/mopix/roadmap.html

The example Bob has set is providing inspiration and guidance to others around the country. Looks like we'll be able to make announcements in the coming weeks about new MoPix installations in Michigan and Texas and in several other cities where patrons with disabilities and advocacy groups are working with theater chains to make headway and spur progress.
