Deaf Couple Reportedly Carjacked

Suspect Apprehended After Search
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- One person was arrested after a deaf couple was apparently carjacked Wednesday afternoon on the city's north side, NewsChannel 4 reported.
The suspect reportedly carjacked the couple, who are in their 60s, at a Budget Car Rental center on Busch Boulevard near Route 161. The suspect reportedly implied that he had a gun.
The male victim was allegedly struck on the face, and the couple was robbed of $150 and eventually dropped off on Freeway Drive North on the city's near east side. The suspect then drove away in their car. Police apprehended the suspect, recovered $140 and the car at Cole Street and Wilson Avenue.
The victims were taken to the scene of the apprehension to identify the suspect. The suspect was then taken to police headquarters for further questioning.
