The Michigan School for the Deaf plans to celebrate the school's 150th anniversary next school year.

The MSD Alumni Association is planning the sesquicentennial celebration, "A Proud Past - A Greater Future," Oct. 7-10 at the school at Miller and Hammerberg roads.

The sesquicentennial committee of alumni and friends of the school has been working on the program for several months. The opening ceremony will take place in the school's gymnasium Oct. 7.
