There's a new leader at RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

Doctor T. Alan Hurwitz officially took over today for Doctor Robert Davila, who retired. Hurwitz has been with the college since 1970. Hurwitz says NTID already has a great track record with more than 53-hundred graduates.

"Many of them are doing fantastic, wonderful jobs with their careers and that speaks to the success of NTID, and I expect that we'll continue to do that in the years ahead," said Hurwitz.

Hurwitz says NTID's ability to use RIT technological resources is key to deaf students' success.
