Thieves steal Sydney boy's hearing aid
From: ABC Online - Australia - Apr 26, 2004
A profoundly deaf child is without any form of hearing after thieves stole his $20,000 cochlear implant processor.
Police say the processor is similar in size to a discman, and whoever stole it may not realise their mistake.
The theft took place in Willmot, in Sydney's west.
The four-year-old boy is unable to hear without the processor, and anyone who has information about where to find it has been asked to contact police.
