From: Avon and Somerset Constabulary, UK - May 4, 2004
Police are continuing their search for vulnerable missing person Nicola Fogden
As a result of appeals through the media over the past 48 hours a member of the public has come forward and reported seeing someone fitting the description of 27-year-old Nicola.
She was spotted in the Leigh Woods area off the A369 yesterday afternoon (Monday) between 12.30-12.45pm
Police believe a number of people may have visited this particular area yesterday (Monday), especially in the afternoon when the weather improved and have asked them to cast their mind back and try to recall whether they saw anyone fitting Nicola's description.
Nicola was last seen at her parent's home in Tickenham Road on Friday April 30.
A patient at Southmead Hospital, she was visiting her parents when she disappeared from their garden.
Police are concerned for her welfare as she needs medication for an illness twice a day. Although she is profoundly deaf, she lip reads and talks normally.
She is described as white 5ft 7ins with blond shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black/grey fleece-style jogging top, light fawn coloured flared trousers and blue and white training shoes, when she went missing.
Police have asked people to check sheds and outhouses and also asked the owners of bed and breakfast businesses to keep a lookout for Nicola.
Anyone who sees Nicola is asked to contact the police on 01275 818181 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
