DOC worker Trent Bell found safe after failing to come out of forest north of Napier yesterday

Searchers have found a man who went missing in a forest north of Napier.

Police were concerned when 24-year-old Trent Bell, who is deaf, failed to return last night after baiting possum traps for The Department of Conservation.

Senior Sergeant John Lovatt says a team of 15 searchers located the man just after 9am.

He says Mr Trent, who was lightly dressed, spent an uncomfortable night, but is unharmed.
