HLO is pleased to announce the FIRST-EVER deaf and hard of hearing gathering at the Cuban Festival to celebrate Cuban culture. This event will be hosted by our own WRAD First Vice President, Mr. Reynaldo Llarena, who was born in Cuba and who is a native member of Cuban culture. Rey will share his culture with everyone and this will be a fun and exciting time for all HLO participants, and their friends and family members! COME AND JOIN REY LLARENA AND HIS FAMILY FOR A GREAT, FUN AND EXCITING TIME AT THE CUBAN FESTIVAL!

The Cuban Festival is called "Presencia Cubana en Los Angeles." This festival celebrates the cultural heritage of the Cuban community living throughout the greater Los Angeles area. You and your friends and family members will enjoy live stage performances, arts and crafts, delicious Cuban food at many food booths, and many activities for children.

There is no admission fee for this event. Everyone will meet Rey and his family at the big statue of Jose Marti, a famous Cuban patriot.

This event had 40,000 people (FORTY THOUSAND people) last year, and this year they plan to have even more people attending the Cuban Festival. There are many things at the Cuban Festival for you to see and do. This is the VERY FIRST TIME that the Cuban Festival will include the Hearing Loss Outreach (HLO) deaf and hard of hearing participants, so come and enjoy the Festival and learn about Cuban culture, heritage, history, food and much more from our HLO expert on Cuban culture -- Mr. Rey Llarena!
