From: Avon and Somerset Constabulary, UK - May 6, 2004
This is an update to the missing person Nicola Fogden who was last seen at her parents address in Clevedon, last Friday, April 30, 2004.
I can now confirm that a body found on Brean Beach shortly after 8pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 has been positively identified as that of 27-year-old Nicola.
Nicola had been a patient at Southmead Hospital before going missing.
A full post mortem has been carried out on the body, but a cause of death has not been ascertained.
Full toxicology reports will now be carried out and the death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
The case will now be passed to the West Somerset coroner for an inquest to be held at a later date.
