AT&T Hires Virginia Relay Account Manager

RICHMOND, June 18 /U.S. Newswire/ -- AT&T announced today the hiring of Matt Myrick as Virginia Relay Account Manager for the Commonwealth of Virginia. In his new position, Myrick will coordinate statewide outreach efforts designed to increase awareness of Virginia Relay and the many useful programs and services it offers for Virginians with hearing or speech loss.

More specifically, Myrick will strive to educate hearing and non-hearing Virginians alike on the proper way to make and receive a Relay call. He also will conduct Virginia Relay Advisory Council meetings for the Virginia Department of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and outreach staff.

"Relay technology is advancing at such a rapid rate, and we need someone who can help Virginians understand how this technology can benefit their life, or the life of someone they love," said Clay Bowen, VDDHH Relay and Outreach Manager. "I am confident that Matt will help our outreach team meet-and exceed- this challenge."

Myrick graduated from Gallaudet University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in human biology. Before coming to AT&T, he worked as a recruiter in Gallaudet's Office of Admissions. His hobbies include domestic/international traveling, scuba diving, mountain biking, meeting new people, culinary arts, home renovating, listening to music and outdoor events.
