Deafnet Association Inc. will hold the following sign language classes:

· Evening American Sign Language Basic I, 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14. The 12-week class is open to ages 12 and older and will continue until Nov. 30. Registration costs $75. No prerequisite required. Registration required by Tuesday, Sept. 7.

· Evening ASL Basic II, 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13. The 12-week class is open to ages 12 and older and will continue until Monday, Nov. 29. Registration costs $60. Prerequisite is Basic I or equivalent. Registration is required by Sept. 7.

· Daytime ASL Basic I, 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17. The 12-week class is open to ages 12 and older and will continue until Friday, Dec. 3. Registration costs $75. No prerequisite is required. Registration is required by Wednesday, Sept. 8.

· Daytime ASL Basic III, 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2. The 15-week class is open to ages 12 and older and will continue until Thursday, Dec. 16, with no class Thanksgiving Day. Registration costs $170. Prerequisite is Basic II or equivalent. Registration is required by Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Parents of deaf children or children of deaf parents can contact Deafnet for special rates.

All classes will be held at Deafnet Association Inc., 551 Jefferson St., Hagerstown. To register for a class, call 301-791-9025.
