Nordia Inc. plans to open a new centre in Montreal and add 200 new jobs after signing a deal with the California Public Utilities Commission.
The company said it will operate the California Relay Service, which is used to connect individuals who are deaf, hearing impaired or speech disabled with persons of normal hearing.
"This contract solidifies our position as a Canadian leader in contact centre and customer relationship management solutions, and positions Nordia for continued growth in a very competitive market," said Paulette Beaudry-Klug, Nordia's president and CEO.
Nordia is a provider of multimedia customer relationship management solutions and employs more than 1,500 employees at four customer contact centres.
