Technical & Specialized Vocabulary Resource Dictonary

The dictionary is set up in major categories and further subdivided into categories making navigation as simple as point and click and each entry shows David as the sign model signing the term.

The 2 CD dictionary set is not be available for CEU credit. However, an accompany 3 hour WWWorkshop (for .3 CEU credits) is also available entitled "Negotiating Technical Topics" addressing strategies to developing Sign concepts when there is no sign known for a technical term.

Readiness Assessments
Are you preparing for certification (state, RID, ACCI, EIPA, etc.) and unsure if you are ready? Let Signs of Development and its team of Deaf and hearing mentors provide you with a Readiness Assessment (RA) to help you with the decision.

With the RA, you will receive an assessment of whether you are ready or not. You will submit 4 samples of your current work with guidance on the samples from the mentoring team. The Deaf mentor will provide the assessment on your work into ASL or signed English and the hearing mentor provides the component of the work into English.

You will receive:
• An assessment of readiness to test by the date you have selected
• If not ready, the mentoring team provides you with an estimate of when you might be ready IF you work on the skill development activities suggested
• Signs' o3/3 Assessmento which will let you know
• 3 things that are effective patterns in your work
• 3 things that are challenging patterns in your work
• Skill Development Activities & Resources
• A prioritized list of activities to address your challenging patterns
• Resource ideas and suggestions to assist you with the activities

Signs can also follow up with individualized mentoring to meet your specific needs and to work further with you on your 3/3 Assessment.
