Holy Cross To Offer Hockey Lessons To Deaf Youth

WORCESTER, Mass. — The College of the Holy Cross and the Worcester Ice Cats Youth Hockey Association will offer the DEAFinitely Skate Hockey Program for deaf children over the age of four at the Holy Cross Hart Recreation Center ice rink, beginning Saturday, Oct. 16.
Registration will take place from 7 – 8 a.m., on Oct. 16 in the Hart Center. Skaters of all levels are invited. Instruction will be in American Sign Language (ASL). The cost of the program is $50. Financial assistance is available. All registered skaters will receive a free Jr. Ice Cats practice jersey.
The dates for the 2004 DEAFinitely Hockey season are as follows:
• Saturday, Oct. 16: 7 – 8 a.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 23: 9 – 10 a.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 6: 9 – 10 a.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 13: 9 – 10 a.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 20: 9 – 10 a.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 4: 9 – 10 a.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 11: 9 – 10 a.m.
